Diane D. Fairchild
Lighting Designer

A critically acclaimed lighting designer in both theater and dance, Ms. Fairchild enjoys collaborating with directors, choreographers, playwrights and other designers to realize their artistic vision. Diane has a passion for working on new works, revisualized classics and productions for children.

Favorite projects include: The Kentucky Cycle (Infamous Commonwealth/National Pastime, 2005); The Cabinet (Redmoon Theater, 2005); A Raisin in the Sun (Western Washington University, 2004); Beyond the Bones choreographed by Kun-Yang Lin (Dixon Place/Joyce Soho,2003); The Tutor with director Ruben Polendo (Juilliard, 2000); Eloise & Ray (New Georges/Ohio Theatre, 2000); Just the Boys (Theatre Double/HERE, 2000); Gloria (Lady Cavaliers/Theatre for the New City); and Andorra with director Liviu Ciulei (NYU Graduate Acting, 1998)

Ms. Fairchild holds a Master of Fine Arts in theater design from New York University's TISCH School of the Arts. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in design and technology for the theater from Wright State University in her native city, Dayton, Ohio.

Diane resides in Chicagoland's Rogers Park with her wonderful husband, David Senechal, and their beautiful son, Xander.
